I don’t read a lot of romantic suspense/military novels, but I have really enjoyed these so far! <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9758736-trace-of-fever" rel="nofollow noopener">Trace of Fever</a> had a lot more suspense, danger, and gun action than <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9758743-when-you-dare" rel="nofollow noopener">When You Dare</a>, which was totally awesome. The human smuggling operation Trace is trying to take down is really disturbing, and the people running it are evil! I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a heroine as much as I enjoyed Priss. She was the endearing, brave, funny woman...I want to be friends with her! Although, I don’t know how that would work, seeing as I’m trying to make Trace MINE! :) I don’t think she’d share with me. Trace was very, very tempting. And sexy. And fierce. *dreamy sigh* I really enjoyed them together. Together, Trace and Priss made an interesting team. They’re very good at deceiving and lying to their enemy. Trace of course knows how to kick some ass, but I was surprised at Priscilla’s badassness. (Yes, of course that’s a word! :P) She was able to hold her own and didn’t play the role of damsel in distress...ever! In fact, she was so stubborn about throwing herself into the middle of danger. Which irritated Trace to no end. In this book, we are introduced to Jackson, who is the hero in the next book, <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9920151-savor-the-danger" rel="nofollow noopener">Savor the Danger</a>. Oh. My. Word. He intrigued me SO much that I cannot wait to read about him some more!! He cracked me up. Another new character is Matt, Chris’s friend and hairdresser. He was really fun! We do also see Chris, Molly, and Dare (and his girls!) which I was REALLY happy about because I love them! I love this makeshift family Lori Foster is creating with these characters and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this series.
