The time has come for Atticus O’Sullivan to bind his apprentice to the earth. Unfortunately, there are a lot of deities and magical beings out there that want him dead, and aren’t courteous enough to stop trying to kill him during the three months he needs to do so. How rude and inconsiderate.

After twelve years in hiding with almost everyone believing him to be dead, during which he trained the first Druidic apprentice in a millennia, Atticus is shoved rudely back onto the global stage. This makes binding his apprentice infinitely harder. But they’re determined, dang it. There will be another bound Druid walking the planes, even they have to fight off vampires and yew-men and angry Olympians to do it.

There has been a slow burning romance in this series that I’ve really enjoyed, and it finally came to fruition in this installment! I was so happy!

But, as always, the best part of the book is Oberon. He’s the best literary hound ever, and I love him.
What’s keeping this installment from earning 5 stars? There seemed to be a weird mix of just waiting around and intense action scenes. And as I’ve said before, I often have a disconnect of some sort when reading action scenes, and I struggled with that again in this installment. 

The series remains fun and very entertaining, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new urban fantasy series to sink themselves into. And once again, the audiobooks are fantastic!

I may need to switch out to get a "palate cleansing". I think I'm getting burnt out on this series for a hot minute. Losing some of the fun. Will definitely return to finish the series, it's too good not to.

I just can't get enough of this series!! Atticus, Granuaile, and Oberon have managed to stay hidden for years. With his luck, he should have known it wouldn't last. Granuaile is at the end of her Druid apprenticeship, and just needs to be bound to the earth. Unfortunately, there is only 1 place to do that, and of course all the Iron Druids enemies are waiting for him. I love this series!
