I remember reading this way back in probably around fourth grade or so (so around 2003-04 ish.) I liked it then and I still quite enjoy it. A well-told tale that says what it needs to and then ends. I thought the film was also nice and moving.

Wonderful. Made me cry. This seems like a great book for helping kids feel a little easier about death, and how it's a part of life. Apart from that aspect, it is a great book simply for the beautiful story, no matter what age the reader.

Tuck Everlasting was my first ever one-sitting read. I was an unfortunate 'gifted kid' in elementary school and my teacher gave me this book to read. We were going to be reading it as an assignment in a few weeks but she let me read it and do the assignments on my own because I was way ahead. 

I sat down behind our small in-class library (it was literally two of those half-height square cubbies stuffed with books) and I read through the entire book in that one afternoon. I was absolutely enthralled by the concept of a magical spring. 

I'm sad there's so much of this book I don't remember. This is one that I need to add to my reread-someday shelf.

Plot utama cerita nya sih oke cuman ending nya kurang nendang masih kayak gantung dan cerita nya sendiri terlalu pendek masih banyak konflik yang menurut aku belum selesai macam asal usul mata air untuk hidup selamanya.

Rereading this as an adult, I definitely didn't enjoy this book as much. I remembered the budding romance in the story, but I somehow failed to remember that the main character is a ten year old girl falling in love with an immortal seventeen year old boy. That's sketchy on so many levels. I still love the concept and Aunt Mae, but it's not exactly a good thing to encourage ten year olds to date teens or help adults escape prison on a murder charge.

All in all, perhaps this would have been better if left in the nostalgia of my memory. I don't think I'd recommend it to others now, after rereading it as an adult.

I think I first encountered this book years ago, back when I just started reading in English. However, I thought the cover looked dull and old and I thought, well, must be a classic. And I wanted to avoid classic that time—at least the one that is written in English (not sure if it had been translated to my language). 

I regret it a lot.

This book is incredible and I really wish I had read it sooner. It's simple but it's fascinating.

Natalie Babbitt has a lovely way with words. Yes, the ending is sad, but I also think that the ending is right. This is a profound little book that I've loved since I was a very young girl.

I admit, I read this book because I'm a fan of the musical adaption that was just on Broadway. Honestly, it didn't disappoint at all. Tuck Everlasting is a sweet story and the characters within it are ones that are so easy to love. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick read.

I have loved this story, from watching the film, for many years. Of course the source material has a very different feel since the main character is a young child discovering the value of a life lived instead of a teenager falling in love. Overall it is a nice, short read. Very thought provoking without being overly intellectual. A simple classic.

I liked the concept but definitely could've delved further into it. But it was nice for what it was and the simplicity suited our very young protagonist.
Plot hole: how did yellow suit man also know about the failure to be murdered or killed. For all he knows they just don't age and have to keep drinking the water. There's no way his family knew everything about the tucks.
Also since it was so fast the development was way too fast of both premise and relationships. I'd argue Winnie had a stronger relationship with her toad than the Tucks.

Really cute book. I think I watched the movie first, but I'm not entirely sure. I love that it is about immortality, but it takes place in the past, generally something I don't associate with supernaturalism (if that's the right word).
