Research on W.G. Sebald has assumed astonishing dimensions. However, academic study has focused on a limited number of thematic areas, such as the Holocaust, trauma & (post-) memory, intermediality, and melancholy. Quite deliberately, the contributors of this volume examine alternative, neglected, and overlooked aspects of his extraordinarily wide-ranging work.
