13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear

The 13 1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear is a creative book that really keeps on giving. The stories hearken back to what it's like to be a child and really lets the reader relax and get to know the world in a truly unique way. A series of vignettes woven together to make the lives that are Bluebear. I love the mini pirates, hobgoblins, the university experience, the forest, the island and so many other things about this book. We even spend some time in a Bollogg's lost head and meet a bad idea in person.

I will say though as soon as Bluebear gets to Atlantis the story became a bit more rickety and slowed down. I've read Rumo and plan to read at least one more in the series. Truly delightful, despite the pace at the end.
