This was a great book. Fast paced and twists that I didn’t see coming. I couldn’t put it down in the second half. Great thriller, just not my favourite.

I very much enjoyed this book! I have read multiple Lisa Gardner books and have not been disappointed. Gardner is able to create a suspenseful book without tons of gore. She does often have a romantic element but, intimate scenes are tastefully done and doesn't dominate the novel. 
On to the plot! This book revolves around a small town and murder. While on the surface this plot has been done a lot, there were still plenty of twists that kept this book feeling fresh. While this is book number 11 in the DD Warren universe you could totally read it and not feel lost. 
Highly recommend!

When You See Me by Lisa Gardner is a crime novel, set in the US, and is the 20th book in the Gardner Universe, and by this it means that there are characters from different series who cross paths.  

This is my first Lisa Gardner book, but she explains who everyone is, and you get a feel for what's going on very quickly.

Flora Dane was held for just over a year by Jacob Ness, a serial kidnapper linked to a number of disappearances.  When skeletal remains of one of his possible victims are found in the woods, then Flora is a natural person to include in the investigation as she knew Ness best.

This was a well paced crime novel, and one that I really enjoyed.  I was swept along by the story, and wanted to know what would happen next. I didn't feel like I was missing out on much by not having read the previous books, other than the connection to the characters that you get from having read a lot of books in a series!

 When You See Me  is to be published on 20th February 2020,  and is available to pre-order on  Amazon   and on  Waterstones .  I've found a  link  to where you can search for local bookshops, including independent!

Holy cow you guys, this book was so good. Like, best book she’s written so far good. I know I’ve heard other readers say she’s dragging the series out too long and she needs to stop but please, please do yourself a favor and read this. I have been reading her books for years and her writing just keeps getting better. 

The plot twists were so good and so unexpected, I honestly gasped a couple of times while reading and then gasped again with what happened next. Lisa Gardner has the best way of throwing in plot twists when you least expect them and they're so complex and unexpected, it’s amazing to read. 

Another thing I absolutely love about her books is the main character D.D. with her dry sense of humor and sarcasm. She can be in the most intense situations but yet will crack a joke and have the reader laughing while your eyes are bugging out because the scene is so crazy. Lisa Gardner has a way of throwing in humor during the best times to break up the seriousness and I love it. 

As for the ending of this book, I can’t even lie, I might have had tears in my eyes. The ending was absolutely perfect and wrapped everything up so nicely, I just loved it.
