This is my second read by Xavier and I really enjoyed it. I love age gap, forbidden romances so I knew I was going to like it. Sloan and Nix were amazing, we read from both their perspectives so it’s easier to understand what they were thinking.

Nix was absolutely my favorite, he was charming, flirty and caring. He fell hard for Sloan and I loved how he never backed down until she knew how he felt towards her. Their moments together were really cute and steamy🔥 and despite their age gap they both acted mature (even if Nix sometimes didn’t show it).

Sloan was awesome too, she’s a well known author escaping to Michigan to relax and disentangle herself from the craziness of her life. The chemistry with Nix was there from the moment they met, and even if she tried to hide what she was feeling it was hard when they both wanted each other. 

Her relationship with Cora was fun too, I loved their banter and how Cora always was there for her. I really enjoyed how Cora and Carl reacted to their news and how closer they got at the end with Nix.

It was definitely an enjoyable book, the characters were amazing and I loved how the relationship between Nix and Sloan unfolded.
