The world is full of couch potatoes but I took it upon myself to ascend to a higher level in that world; the "Certified Couch Potato" (CCP). This is one CCP's story. Since television can be considered the incubator of the CCP, I thought it was appropriate to start by taking a look at the history of TV and the programming I grew up watching. Looking back at some of these shows now, I definitely see them in a different light than when I was a kid and, just for fun, I compare some of the shows I watched to what the kids are watching today. Every CCP is also an expert at politics and knows that it doesn't matter which party you vote for, nothing is going to change for the middle class. Sports also play an important part in our society and here you are given a new way of looking sporting events the next time you turn on the TV. Along the way you'll be introduced to my impression of the "Fourth Estate" or, as we CCPs know it, "The NEWS". While traveling through the pages, you will visit chapters that will make you laugh at just about every part of life whether celebrities, education, or my all time favorite, POLITICAL CORRECTNESS. Not everyone will agree with me on all of the subjects covered in the book, but you will find something you can agree with and that will make you, too, a CCP!
