This is the story of Laika, the heroic dog sent into outer space by the Russians in 1957. Captured in the streets of Moscow and trained at a space centre, she was then sent on a journey into the unknown alone in a tiny capsule orbiting the Earth, Sputnik II. All in the name of the fake progress and blind arrogance of men. In the background is the desperate need of humanity to finally surrender to love. Laika's expedition represents the journey that, sooner or later, each and every person will have to go on to reach their inner self.
