This volume presents papers delivered at the First International Conference on Difference Equations (FICDE) held at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, USA. During the course of this meeting, 66 papers were presented by participants from across the United States and more than 20 other countries. Topics of papers include chaotic dynamics, mathematical biology, robust control theory, stochastic differential systems, dynamics of satellite and rocket systems, theory of orthogonal polynomials, and epidemiological modelling.
